🌄 THE WEEKEND PLAN
Saturday: The iconic Nantlle Ridge Traverse – one of the most dramatic ridge walks in Wales – starting in Rhyd Ddu and finishing in Nebo. Expect airy ridges, rocky scrambles, and constant views across Eryri. Due to limited parking at both ends, participants will be expected to help with car sharing/lifts between the start and finish points so everyone can get back to their vehicles after the traverse.
Sunday: A scenic Cnicht circular – the “Welsh Matterhorn” – taking in stunning lakes, quiet moorland, and a rewarding summit to round off the weekend. Start at 9am and finish by 4pm to allow time for travel home.
🏕️ ACCOMMODATION – WIGWAM CABINS
Stay overnight at our cosy heated wigwams/ glamping pods in Rhyd Ddu.
£100 per person to share a wigwam
£130 per person for a solo wigwam
All wigwams have heating, a full-size fridge, and the all-important kettle for tea or coffee.
Mattresses provided – bring your own sleeping bag/duvet and pillows.
Facilities include: Communal kitchen with microwave, stove, utensils, pots and pans | Fire pits for hire and logs for sale – perfect for stargazing nights | Toilets, wash basins, and warm showers just steps away in the facilities block.
Nearest shop: 3 miles.
Pubs serving food and drinks are just a short drive away, perfect for a group meal on Saturday night.
Pets welcome 🐕.

Arrive between 11 am- There is a short introduction and briefing for the day
6-7 hour (approx. 14 km) Moderate - Hard hike including inclines, steps, summits/viewpoints
Lunch at the summit
Return to car park approx. 4pm based on group progress
